A number of services are offered to practices under the Business Development Program. These include:
One-on-one or group practice training is provided on utilising Medicare item numbers. These include: basic training on how to use the Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS), enhanced primary care (EPC) items such as: Health Assessments, Diabetes Assessments, Asthma Cycle of Care, Mental Health plans, Chronic disease plans and much more. Information sheets on most of the Medicare item numbers are available under the resources section. One-on-one or group practice training is provided to GPs, Practice/Office Managers and Practice Nurses, on using Medical Software; Medical Director, Pracsoft, Best practice and Medtech 32. The training is not directly provided for Administration staff as the information would be best delivered by management within the organisation. Various templates are available in the resource section on this page for importing onto some of the medical software currently used by NW practices. Templates may be considered for creation and review by GPNW be request.
